On Friday May 20th Pam Carrigan and Karen Foster, Broker Associates at RE/MAX of Greensboro, brought the world famous RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon to Saint Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Greensboro NC.

The fourth grade class at Saint Pius X Catholic School sponsored the St. Pius X North Carolina Festival which is used to bring knowledge and awareness about the state to its students.

One of the points of education about NC is that we are “First In Flight”.  Holding to that theme and in thinking about the first modes of flight, organizers sought out the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon as a unique kick off to their festival. Pam and Karen were contacted by the event organizer and immediately agreed to be part of this educational opportunity, by sponsoring the appearance of the balloon.

Tom Lattin, the balloon pilot made a presentation to the kids about how the balloon works as well as the science and history behind it. The Monsignor, several teachers and some students were able to take tethered rides before the festival began. “It was a big hit and we had a fun day,” said Carrigan.

“This is another example of how RE/MAX Associates give back to their local communities, and I truly appreciate the time and money that Pam and Karen put forth to make this happen for the kids,” said Lisa Bennett, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX of Greensboro.

Looking For A Major Lifestyle Change? Consider Buying A ‘Micro’ Home

The Basic Home Security Checklist Every Home Needs

Did you realize that only around 17 percent of the homes in the United States have a security system? Leaving your residence unprotected can come back to haunt you in the future.

Selling Your Home FHA? Learn These Tips To Ensure A Smooth Closing

Before an owner can market a property to buyers that want to use a FHA loan, he will want to familiarize himself with the FHA’s standards. FHA won’t insure loans on just any property. While their standards aren’t as stringent as they used to be, a home needs to be in relatively good condition to qualify for FHA financing.
